StockinGirl Legwear: I started Stockingirl Legwear because I had a passion for vintage hosiery. I had a large vintage collection of vintage stockings from the 1940's and 1950's. Thousands of pairs of stockings. Silk hosiery, stockings with elaborate designs and leg, seamed stockings in every color imaginable. Finally I decided my collection was getting out of control (also, lack of closet space) and decided to sell my pristine vintage boxed hosiery. After successfully selling most of my collection except for a pair or two of each style I had for my stocking "reference library", I decided it would be great to start reproducing the same vintage styles. Customers appreciated the perfect vintage reproductions we made, so then I moved on to updating vintage styles with a contemporary twist. Hence our current line of products, both a reference to vintage hosiery and contemporary styles for the fashion forward buyer. At Stockingirl you will find leggings, pantyhose, tights, printed legwear, basically any legwear style you can imagine. This is the blog for online legwear and lingerie retailer StockinGirl.com.
